About Us

The Catalyst Project is a center for political education and movement building. We prioritize anti-racist work with mostly white sections of social justice movements with the goal of deepening anti-racist commitment in white communities and building multiracial left movements for liberation. We also bring different sectors of the left together to develop relevant theory, strategy and practice to build the organizational capacity of our movements.

We situate our work as educators and organizers within the context of global peoples movements challenging capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, heterosexism and state power. Our work is guided by the visions and goals of these movements to build a free and just world.

While Catalyst Project members are all engaged in various political work (from base-building community organizing, counter military recruitment work, anti-police brutality work, to anti-war/anti-imperialist/global justice work), the organizational work of the Catalyst Project focuses on doing movement based political education, leadership development, networking, development of movement strategy, and theoretical study.
