Indigenous solidarity is an essential part of the struggle for racial justice. It is critical that we deepen our commitment to Indigenous Sovereignty in ourselves, and in our movements and in our communities.
Join the Indigenous Solidarity Network, Catalyst Project, Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), Rising Tide North America, Irish for Racial Justice, No DAPL Global Solidarity Campaign and Resource Generation for Rethinking Thanksgiving: Solidarity with Indigenous Resistance on Monday, November 22 at 5pm PT/8pm ET.
This webinar is an invitation to interrogate so-called thanksgiving, and move beyond the myths of america’s history with Indigenous People on Turtle Island. From tar sands pipelines across Turtle Island to Arctic oil and gas drilling, Indigenous campaigns of resistance continue to lead the way in protecting future generations against the destruction of sacred lands and waterways. Moving into a deeper understanding of how colonialism is embedded into our frameworks and systems builds our capacity to be in stronger solidarity.
In this webinar, we will hear from the frontlines of Indigenous efforts to resist violence and colonization fueled by the current extractive economic system and gather ways to further and deepen solidarity with Indigenous resistance.
Can you commit to share this webinar invitation today with 5 members of your community to deepen their understanding of the struggle for indigenous sovereignty? You can also share on facebook or instagram.
Live Captioning and ASL interpretation will be available on the call.
We hope to see you there!
