Catalyst Project is honored to be on the host committee for People Get Ready 4, put on by the Center for Political Education. People Get Ready is a conference bringing together Left organizers to strategize together and build together. It is an opportunity to assess the political moment and wrestle with questions that will help us to advance our struggles for collective liberation.
We hope you will join us in person at Dwinelle Hall at UC Berkeley on Saturday March 25th. Get your tickets here!
Plenaries will assess the current political moment and offer ways forward for the Left. Panel topics will include climate justice, local and national elections as part of Left strategy, the state of the far right, confronting the law and order agenda, building an anti-war movement, and more.
From the Center for Political Education:
People Get Ready 4 is taking place as changes in our political landscape accelerate and conditions of crisis become increasingly planetary and existential in scope. Authoritarian forces continue their attempts to seize power, wage political violence, and cause social disruption. The working class and poor face increasingly dire economic and living conditions and have displayed their dissatisfaction with the status quo through powerful mass protests and political organizing. In addition to reconvening in-person to reinvigorate the bonds of camaraderie among people and organizations of our movements, CPE aims for this conference to: 1) help participants make sober assessments of political conditions grounded in a material understanding of circumstances; and 2) discuss and debate strategies for building united power across various sectors of the left.
Conference cosponsors include:
- Arab Resource & Organizing Center (AROC)
- Alliance of South Asians Taking Action (ASATA)
- Catalyst Project
- Chinese Progressive Association
- Critical Resistance Oakland
- International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network
- National Lawyers Guild – SF Bay Area
- Palestinian Youth Movement (Bay Area)
- San Francisco Rising
