Thank you to everyone who helped to spread the word about the 2013 Anne Braden Anti-Racist Organizer Training Program. We received more than 90 outstanding applicantions from people across north America. Applications were due September 15th and the application process is now closed.
The Anne Braden Program combines weekly political education sessions and volunteer placements with local racial justice organizations. It is designed for white social justice activists and organizers to build skills, analysis, and practice. It’s not a series of “101” style workshops, but a leadership development program intended to support white people who are already politically active in becoming more effective and accountable anti-racist organizers, leaders, and multi-racial movement builders. Together we are working to train up leaders to build movements for collective liberation.
